TOVAH FELDSHUH (Irena Gut Opdyke). For her work on the New York stage, from Yentl to Golda’s Balcony, Tovah Feldshuh has earned four Tony nominations for Best Actress and won four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, the Obie, the Theatre World Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actress. With Ms. Feldshuh, Golda’s Balcony became the longest-running one-woman show in Broadway history. She went on to play London’s West End and continues to perform it around the world. Other Broadway credits include Cyrano (debut), Rodgers and Hart, Dreyfus In Rehearsal, Saravá and Lend Me a Tenor. Mining Golda: My Journey to Golda Meir, her second concert, has played worldwide. At San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, where she won two Drama-Logue Awards and was named Associate Artist, she served as leading lady for director Jack O’Brien in Romeo and Juliet, Two Gentlemen Of Verona, Measure For Measure, The Country Wife and Tovah: A Rush Hour Revue. Ms. Feldshuh, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, won the McKnight Fellowship in acting to the Guthrie Theater. She has taught at Yale, Cornell and New York Universities and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in June 2005. She supports Seeds Of Peace, a non-profit, non-political organization that helps teenagers from regions of conflict. DAN GORDON (Playwright) is a master storyteller who creates indelible characters and relationships, which have afforded actors the opportunity to play some of their most unforgettable roles. Gordon’s characters are marked by their struggle to maintain their humanity in the face of overwhelming adversity. His film credits include The Hurricane, which starred Denzel Washington, Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner, The Assignment with Sir Ben Kingsley, Aiden Quinn and Donald Sutherland, Murder in The First with Kevin Bacon and Christian Slater. Upcoming films include Northern Lights for Skydance Productions, Mafiyah Prince for Morgan Creek and the indie film The Christmas Gift to star Linda Gray. Amongst Gordon’s stage credits are the stage adaptations of Rain Man (which starred Josh Hartnett) and Terms of Endearment (which starred Linda Gray), both of which were hits on the British stage. His sixth book Postcards from Heaven was just published by Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster. In the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel (2006) and the recent fighting between Hamas and Israel, Gordon served as a Captain (Res.) in the Israel Defense Forces. He is also the founder of the Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking in Sedona, Arizona.
MICHAEL PARVA (Director) is the Artistic/Producing Director of The Directors Company, where he has developed and produced numerous new plays and musicals including: Bad Girls by Joyce Carol Oates; Kilt featuring Tovah Feldshuh; The Passion of Frida Kahlo featuring Priscilla López; Good Will, an adaptation of Jane Smiley’s award-winning novella, featuring Dana Reeve; and Bat Boy: The Musical. He has had the privilege of directing the work of many exceptional playwrights including Drifting Elegant by Stephen Belber, winner of the first Development Award from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; Brooklyn Bridge by Melissa James Gibson and The Faculty Room by Bridget Carpenter (Kesserling Award Winners); Land of Cockaigne by David Ives; Avow by Bill C. Davis; and Trudy Blue by Marsha Norman at The Actors Studio, where he is a member of the Playwrights and Directors Unit. PETER FINE (Producer) is the quintessential New Yorker. He grew up in public housing in Queens, pursued a Ph.D. in sociology at NYU and spent 5 years doing social work primarily with homeless people. In 1995 he co-founded Atlantic Development Group, which has grown to become a major real estate development, construction, leasing and management company. Peter won a Best Musical Tony in 2008 for producing In the Heights and is a major investor in the Broadway revival of West Side Story.
